Cookie Policy
Effective date: October 9, 2026
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as browser storage and tracking pixels, work in much the same way, and this policy covers them too. Here is exactly what we use, why, and how to control it.
The short version
- Until you choose, we use only what the site needs to work.
- Analytics and marketing cookies stay off unless you switch them on.
- You can accept all, reject all or choose by category, and rejecting is as easy as accepting.
- You can change your mind at any time through Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
Strictly necessary
These keep the site working and secure, and remember your cookie choice. They do not need your consent, because the site cannot work properly without them, and we do not use them to track you.
| Name | Set by | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| dt_consent | Digitechnique | Remembers your cookie choices, so we do not ask again on every page. | 12 months |
| Site cache | Digitechnique | Browser storage that keeps a copy of our pages and styles on your device, so the site loads quickly and works without a signal. It holds no personal information. | Until you clear your browser data |
Analytics (off until you agree)
These show us which pages people find useful and which need work, by counting visits and how people move around the site. We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager.
| Name | Set by | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Tells visits apart, so we can count visitors without knowing who they are. | 2 years |
| _ga_<ID> | Google Analytics | Keeps track of your current visit. | 2 years |
Marketing (off until you agree)
These tell us whether our advertising works, and let advertising platforms show you relevant ads on other websites. We may use the tags below. If we add another, we will list it here before it goes live.
| Name | Set by | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| _gcl_au | Google Ads | Measures which ads lead to enquiries. | 90 days |
| _fbp | Meta | Measures and personalises ads on Facebook and Instagram. | 90 days |
| li_fat_id | Measures which LinkedIn ads lead to visits. | 30 days | |
| bcookie | Recognises your browser for LinkedIn advertising. | 1 year |
How our tags respect your choice
We use Google Consent Mode. Before anything else loads, every Google tag is told that analytics and advertising storage is switched off. Only when you agree to a category is that switched on, and only for that category. Our other tags are set up to run only after you have agreed to marketing cookies.
Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of marketing cookies, and they stay off.
Changing your choice
Use Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. When you switch a category off, we stop using it straight away and remove the cookies it set on our site where your browser lets us. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, the site cannot remember your choice and will ask again.
The companies above also offer their own controls: Google Analytics opt-out, Google ad settings, Meta ad preferences and LinkedIn guest controls.
How long your choice lasts
We remember your choice for 12 months, then ask again. We will also ask again sooner if we start using a new kind of cookie that needs your consent.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information more generally.
